How Evelyn Underhill gave spiritual direction through her letters

Val Thompson is leading this Quiet Day. She will read sections from some of Evelyn Underhill's letters and give the context in which they were written. There will then be time for discussion and reflection regarding the spiritual direction being given and what insights this might give us today.

Please arrive from 9.30 am for tea and coffee for a 10 am start. Lunch is included.

Val Thompson is a Spiritual Director and a tutor of the course in spiritual direction in Chelmsford Diocese. She is an Underhill scholar gaining her MA in Christian Spirituality in 2019 in which she explored Evelyn's influence on others in both her own time and also in our present time.
