Reasons for Living

  • The Diocesan House Of Retreat The Street CM3 1HA United Kingdom (map)

A contemplative day - exploring the blessings and miracles of our lives.

Led by Revd Richard Carter. Based on the theme of his new book Richard through reflections, silence and prayer will explore the sources of inspiration in our lives which give us courage and hope. In a culture which often focuses on all that increases anxiety and despair this Quiet Day aims to focus on 'faith, hope and love"

Revd Richard Carter is Associate Vicar for Mission at St Martin-in-the-Fields London and founder and leader of the Nazareth Community. He is the author of the best selling: The City is My Monastery; Letters from Nazareth: a Contemplative Journey Home and In Search of the Lost all published by Canterbury Press. He leads many retreats and quiet days and is a frequent contributor to BBC Radio 4's Daily Service.

The day can be combined with an overnight stay or two at the House. If you would like this please contact the Retreat House direct 01245 237251.
