Encountering God on the Journey…

  • The Diocesan House Of Retreat The Street CM3 1HA United Kingdom (map)

A Quiet Day - exploring biblical examples and reflecting on how Jesus meets with us when we least expect him to.

Led by Sheila Jacobs. Looking at how Jesus revealed himself to those walking on the Emmaus Road, and how this might be true for us today; touching on Peter’s restoration in John 21, the woman at the well in John 4, and Elijah’s experience in 1 Kings 19. A day of listening to and discerning what God may be saying and doing in our lives. Thinking, discussing, and reflection.

Sheila Jacobs is a writer, editor and award-winning author. She has written nineteen books to date, including A Little Book of Rest (Malcolm Down, 2022). Also, a retreat leader, she has been in church leadership and a day chaplain at the Diocesan House of Retreat, Pleshey.
